MOROCCO Rug.
The Moroccan Rugs of the Beni Ourain tribal confederacy differ from other Berber weavings in that they are woven exclusively with an ivory background and decorated with abstract geometric motifs of undyed natural wool. The high quality of the materials used, the absolute spontaneity of the designs together with its strong ethnic-minimal feel, all contribute to place these Rugs at the forefront of contemporary interior design. A warm and atmospheric Rug, it is one of the most refined expressions of the little known tribal textile art of Morocco.
This example is characterized by an excellent wool quality, the ivory sometimes covering the brown pattern giving the visual impression of an erasement. What makes it also quite unusual is the fact that the weaver decided to change pattern almost at the end, incorporating a borderland hinting at a different field design.

- Hand-washing is possible (even in a bathtub), but note that the rug becomes extremely heavy when wet
