Our Modern Beniouarain has been 100% handmade in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco from pure wool by combining composed patterns of one single knotted line. These patterns are frequently lines that form geometric shapes, creating an exotic and beautiful design. Many of the shapes in the rugs reflect changes in life events, a different weaver taking over the carpet or just a creative inspiration. Berber rugs are believed to be imbued with soul, either from the style of the weaver or from the nature of the wool. Once the rug is finished, it becomes a valued family member.

Caring for Your Moroccan Rug
Cleaning a Moroccan rug is refreshingly simple: shake it, wash it, and let it dry. These rugs are naturally durable, resistant to moths, and respond best to gentle, common-sense care.
DO
- Air your rug regularly and shake it outdoors to remove dust and dirt
- Vacuum from side to side only to protect the fibers.
- Consider a professional carpet cleaner for a deep, full-rug clean
- Hand-washing is possible (even in a bathtub), but note that the rug becomes extremely heavy when wet
DON’T
- Use harsh detergents, chemicals, or bleach-based products, as these can damage the wool and cause permanent discolouration.
