This Handira pillow is hand loomed by my partner Hafida. Berber wedding blankets, or handira, are traditionally woven in anticipation of a wedding, with the bride’s female relatives adorning the blanket with hundreds of glittering silver sequins over weeks or months. Made with love, these blankets carry blessings and good luck, wrapping the bride’s shoulders for warmth during her journey to her new marital home. Our wedding blanket pillows are unique, handcrafted pieces from Morocco, carefully made using cotton, chenille, and sequins.
